Gateway Ice Centre is a state-of-the-art, four-pad arena located in Stoney Creek, proudly serving Hamilton and the surrounding community. From minor hockey and figure skating to adult leagues, tournaments, and recreational programs, Gateway is where athletes of all ages and skill levels come to train, play, and enjoy the game.
Four Rinks, Built for Players & Fans
State-of-the-Art Ice Surfaces
Gateway Ice Centre is home to four rinks. The Blue Rink seats 800 with room for 400 standing, six change rooms, and premium views from Gabby’s Kitchen & Bar, VIP boxes, and a press box. The Red Rink offers bench seating, a public walking track, and sprint lanes for warm-ups. The Yellow Rink has bench seating, standing room, and a glass wall for off-ice training views. The Green Rink adds a licensed viewing area connected to Gabby’s. Together, they’re the perfect venue for leagues, tournaments, and special events.

Building Skills, Balance, and Confidence
Skating School
Our learn-to-skate program welcomes little ones as young as 2 who are just beginning their skating journey. With caring, one-on-one coaching and playful on-ice activities, children learn balance, safe movement, and foundational skating techniques in a supportive and encouraging setting. It’s a gentle, confidence-building introduction to the ice, and an ideal starting point before transitioning into hockey, figure skating, or any other skating-based sport.
